Special Educational Needs

Our Inclusion Leader is our Deputy Head, Mrs Rebekah Green.

Our SENCo is Mrs Kim Millican.

At Loughton School, inclusion is at the heart of our ethos.  We aim to create a happy and safe learning environment where everyone feels valued, inspired and able to make a positive contribution to school life.  We encompass the needs of our children through a holistic approach to inclusion by developing the whole child and promoting wellbeing.  We believe it is important to provide a personalised journey for the individual throughout their time at Loughton School.  To achieve this we ensure the following areas are embedded in our creative and thematic curriculum:

  • Specific learning needs
  • Speech and language needs
  • Social and emotional needs
  • Behavioural needs
  • English as an additional language needs
  • Cultural similarities
  • Community cohesion
