Hinduism Day

On Tuesday, the year 4 children were treated to a day of activities to inspire them in their learning.

Our topic this term is India and our visitors shared many stories and traditions, taught the children how to paint beautiful patterns on their face and hands and during the afternoon the whole year group spent time in the hall celebrating a mock Hindu wedding. Our "bride" and "groom" were supported by their "families" and the crowd took photos and gave them their wishes for a long and happy life. We were so proud of the mature way the children behaved and I am sure they all had plenty to tell their parents when they got home.
