Loughton Music Festival - April 2017
At Loughton, we are really proud to promote opportunities in the creative arts and, once again, our recent music festival gave children the opportunity to showcase their talents to parents, staff and governors and demonstrate just what dedicated musicians they were. The event was well attended with over 100 friends and family in the audience.
We had over 50 children playing 9 different instruments throughout the evening, including various strings, woodwind and brass instruments, keyboard, drums and our finale of the evening were listening to three songs sung beautifully by around half of our school choir.
Our thanks go to all the peripatetic music teachers who meet weekly with children across the school to help them improve in their ability and help mould them into the dedicated and talented children we saw at our music festival. Our particular thanks go to Sue Wakley (our cello teacher) and Helen Day (our violin teacher) who attended the event and to Lucy Hazlewood who has worked tirelessly with the choir for the last two years at Loughton.
Please enjoy looking through the photos of the evening’s performances in our gallery.
