Children at Loughton School are dedicated to looking after the local and global environment. Children are selected by vote from each class to form the Eco council. This group meets once every half term to discuss any issues and they work together to make Loughton School a more environmentally place to work and learn. In recent years, the Eco Warriors have been responsible for introducing an outdoor classroom, establishing an allotment area, planting and watering tubs of flowers around the school and outside the school and planting seeds in Loughton’s Millennium Meadow for the local inhabitants to enjoy.
