Friends of Loughton

The Friends of Loughton would like to say a big “Thank You” to all the parents, children and friends who helped make the Bingo night such a success.  We have had some lovely thank you texts.

With your help we raised a fantastic £229.30 for the school to purchase new books with.

On another note if you would like to help out at any event organised by the “Friends” please let us know.  If you company has match funding, and you help at an event, you can ask your company for a charity donation through the match funding scheme.  Companies like Santander and Barclays offer this.

‘Small Change, Big Difference’ - Haiti Appeal

As a school we wanted to do our bit to help the people of Haiti following the devastating earthquake. In our assemblies last week we explained to the children that every little counts and that together we can make a difference. We asked the children to collect together any small change from home and to bring this to school by Friday 29 January. The money was collected in buckets as the children come into assembly.

We are very proud to announce that the children’s donations came to £627.00 this will now be sent to the Haiti appeal from all of us at Loughton School.

ParentMail is a simple but powerful school-to-home communications system. We are able to send you texts and emails to inform you of cancelled afterschool activites, inform you if trips are slightly late on returning back to school and even send you newsletters via email.

MUSIC LESSONS

Please bring your musical instruments for lessons on the following days :

Monday - Keyboard, Brass, Violin, Strings, and Choir

Tuesday - Violin, Drums and Jazz

Wednesday - Woodwind

Thursday - Cello

Friday - Guitar

Please could parents refrain from parking in the staff car park whilst dropping off their children. Parents dropping off their children at Kids Play are requested to park near to the trees.It is unsafe for children to walk through the car park whilst cars are moving within the car park.
