  • Wrap, Splat, Hat homework

    Published 14/06/17, by Kim Millican

    16 June
As part of our work on persuasion related to sun safety, this week the children will be given a passport to sun safety for their homework.

The children can choose to write a rap or poem, on A4 paper. They might also like to decorate their entry, to make it eye-catching, to persuade others to 'wrap, splat, hat'.

If they would like to, they can enter their persuasive rap or poem into the attached competition*, to win prizes for the school.  Please see Mrs Millican, if you are having any difficulty entering the competition.

    Good luck!

    13 March
No doubt you have been curious to know what the Year 3s would be making with their mysterious shoeboxes.  Today the children have been busily making a coastal scene, with a difference.  Choosing from a range of geographical features, such as a headland stack, a beach, a cliff or a bay, they designed and created a collage to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of these natural processes. Take a look at the gallery to see how we got on.

Of course plenty of playing with our finished games occurred so that we could evaluate our designs! Click here to see how they got on.

  • 'Stable Manners' Christmas Performance 2016

    Published 13/06/17, by Kim Millican

For the second half of this term, the Year 3s have been very busy perfecting their acting and singing skills (watch out Keira Knightly and Chris Hemsworth!) for our production of “Stable Manners”.  It told a story about animals fighting over an empty stall in their stable.  They soon realised that it was pointless fighting over something such as a stable and should focus on being well-mannered and kind to everyone.  Friendship won the day!  Hooray!  It was a pun filled event which got more and more giggles with each performance.

We all had a lot of fun and hard work putting this production together.  It was definitely a team effort and the Year 3 children must be commended for pulling together and for making it an outstanding production.  Well done to all the children no matter their part for giving it their all!

Thank you to everyone who helped to make this a special production.  Let us take a leaf out of the story they told and spread a little cheer, kindness and friendship over this festive season.  Happy holidays!
