From VR to VE day!

The children have been on a journey this week from the past - 80 years ago - to the crazy world of modern technology via VR.
On Wednesday, all four classes experienced cutting edge modern technology via our VR workshop. Our facilitator was enthusiastic and had the children focussed and attentive while he led them on a journey through human body using VR headsets. All the teachers had the chance to have a go too and we were all amazed by how brilliant the experience was. The children absolutely loved it too and it has enhanced their science learning this week to enable them to understand fully what our lessons have been about. They also had a chance to reflect on their year 3 topic of the skeleton and have a glimpse into next year's science topic of the circulatory system.
On Thursday, we were so proud of the way all the children reflected on the happenings of 80 years ago as we celebrated VE day with the rest of the country. It was wonderful to see so many children dressed in World War Two clothing, in their brownie or cub uniforms or colourfully dressed in red, white and blue. Well done everyone!
