American Cooking Day

Year 6 have spent the day preparing, cooking and tasting the delights of American food.
To tie in with our topic on the Americas, the year 6 classes took it in turns to create American food dishes. Using cooking skills, that they had learnt throughout their years at Loughton, they were able to chop, dice, whisk, and measure ingredients to create four dishes. As a year group, they made a vegetable chilli, a quorn chilli, cornbread, salsa, a sour cream dip and a guacamole dip that were all eventually served with a taco shell. They were amazing with their cooking skills and great team-work was seen. The year group tucked into a feast of these dishes at the end of the day - thoroughly enjoying the experience. Great work year 6.
