Multicultural Day!

On Friday 27th June, we had our very first multicultural day at Loughton School.

The children at Loughton School had their first multicultural day, which all the children got involved with and made the most of the day.

Each class in year 5 had parents come in to talk about their culture, show beautiful items and share traditional stories. The children were fully immersed in the cultures that are represented within their classes and there was even food!

Throughout the day, the children were able to show and tell about their culture, share food, place their birthplaces on a gigantic world map in the school hall and even ended the day with a whole school fashion show! It was fantastic to see so many children dressed in traditional clothing with some in their local sporting team kit or club uniforms.

In the afternoon, Miss Allen led a fashion show designed to showcase the wide range of traditional and cultural dress across the school. The children strutted their stuff down the stage to an array of cultural songs and cheers from their peers.

Overall, the children and the staff had a brilliant day!
