This half term, our Year 5 students have been immersed in the exhilarating world of rock music during their music lessons. Focused on the iconic track "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi, pupils have not only engaged in listening activities but also participated in collaborative performances that encompass a variety of musical skills.

In addition to Bon Jovi, students have been introduced to legendary bands such as Queen and Status Quo, broadening their appreciation for the genre. By playing the glockenspiel alongside the music, children have developed their rhythmic abilities and musical awareness, enjoying the challenge of synchronising their playing with the vibrant melodies.

Moreover, our sessions have involved learning to sing "Livin' on a Prayer," fostering both vocal skills and confidence in performance. This engaging approach has allowed students to immerse themselves in the dynamic characteristics of rock music, encouraging creativity and teamwork.
