Some more WONDERFUL writers

On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of celebrating the achievements of our Year 3 and Year 4 children.

They have been working exceptionally hard on their writing in both English and theme lessons, and their progress is clearly evident. Eight children were selected from across the two year groups whose recent work had particularly stood out; the steps they had taken to challenge themselves and make meaningful improvements were clear. They demonstrated thoughtful vocabulary choices to create vivid imagery for the reader and used a range of conjunctions, punctuation, and fronted adverbials to enhance the quality of their writing. Each of these children collected a token for their house, and their work is now proudly displayed in our writing corridor.  They should be incredibly proud of their efforts—we certainly are.
