Year 4 had a wonderful two days making pizza as part of learning about money and enterprise.

HB6 and 8 took Monday by storm, closely followed by HB5 and 7 on Tuesday. Ingredients were measured, dough was kneaded and pizzas were topped successfully. The children enjoyed being able to choose their toppings, ranging from olives, sweetcorn, pineapple and pepperoni (vegan). 

After the pizzas had been made and were sent to the kitchen to be cooked to perfection, the children spent their time designing and decorating their pizza boxes. It was wonderful to see the joy on the children's faces as they drew and coloured, telling us in great detail how they couldn't wait to go home to eat their pizza.

We teachers, would like to take this opportunity to thank parents for paying for their children's pizza and especially to those who 'paid it forward', which meant all children were able to take home their pizza. We know at this time of year money can be tighter with the holidays coming up, so we are grateful to you all.

Whether you were able to nab a bite of pizza remains a mystery, but it was clear to us all just how much all of year 4 thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
