This week in Year 6 has been a great balance of hard work and creativity. The children completed their Spring Mock SATs and approached each assessment with real focus. Their behaviour throughout the week was excellent, and they should feel proud of the effort they put in.

Alongside the tests, we spent time exploring Quest by Aaron Becker. Earlier in the week, the children created their own storyboards based on the book’s illustrations, developing their own ideas and interpretations.

To round off the week, they used their storyboard work as inspiration to design and make their own board games. The classrooms were full of imaginative ideas as they planned rules, created characters and designed their boards. Once the games were finished, everyone had the chance to play each other’s creations, which made for a fun and relaxed end to a busy week.
