Year 5, at this point in the term, are now fully immersed in all things Viking! In our guided reading lessons, we have been enthralled by the extraordinary adventures of Alfie, the 1000 year old boy.  It is fascinating to hear of how he gets to grip with modern day life and befriends children from the 21^st century.  Some classes have even had the opportunity to hear extracts being read in the Geordie accent which has made the experience even more authentic.  We can't wait to read more!
