Indian Dancing Workshop (Bollywood)

Year 4 had an unforgettable experience this week when they took part in a vibrant Indian dancing workshop. From the moment the music started, the hall was filled with energy, excitement and plenty of laughter as the children explored a new style of dance together.

The workshop began with a lively warm-up that got everyone moving and smiling. The children quickly learnt that Indian dance uses expressive hand movements and strong rhythms. With enthusiastic guidance, they practised different steps, hand gestures and poses, building confidence as they went along.

Before long, the room was buzzing with excitement. The children threw themselves into the routines, clapping, spinning and stepping in time with the music. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and such fantastic enthusiasm. There was lots of laughter as they tried new moves and encouraged one another.

One of the highlights was learning a short routine as a group. Before going home, the children performed their dance to the rest of the year group and showed how well they can work as a team! The energy in the room was incredible, and everyone was proud of what they had achieved.

The workshop was not only great fun, but also a fantastic opportunity for the children to experience a different culture through music and movement. Year 4 showed brilliant effort, creativity and confidence throughout the session.
