Celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day
VE Day 80th Anniversary – A Day to Remember
To mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day, we held a special dressing-up day. Children arrived dressed in red, white, and blue, as well as uniforms from groups like Rainbows, Brownies, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade.
Many also came dressed as key wartime figures—nurses, doctors, soldiers—or wore 1940s-style school outfits, giving us a glimpse into the past.
The whole school also came together for a minute’s silence, taking time to remember the sacrifices made and the significance of this historic day.
Thank you to all the families for your support. The day was a wonderful opportunity for remembrance and school spirit. Please see the photos below of the day.
