In theme for the past few weeks, Year 3 have been learning all about plants! We learnt about the parts of a flower and their lifecycles. We investigated seed dispersal, pollinators and plant adaptations.
We completed our unit with an investigation into what plants need to survive. We grew cress with three different quantities of water to see if too much water could stop a plant from growing. They have all loved watching the plants grow!
Year 3 children took part in a number of events to commemorate Armistice Day.
Year 3 have been busy putting their design and technology skills to the test by creating their very own felt bookmarks!

Close Encounters of the Animal Kind.
This week, alongside taking part in our House Cross Country competition, Year 3 enjoyed an action-packed Let’s Leap activity day!
We spent the morning out on the field, taking part in Laser Tag, Archery, Dodgeball, and Zorb Football. This was a wonderful opportunity for Year 3 to work together, interact with one another, and build new friendships. In the afternoon, everyone came together for the highlight of the day – the inflatable obstacle course.
It was a fantastic day filled with energy, teamwork, and laughter – and we only ended up a little bit damp from the rain!
