Remembrance Day 2025

Year 3 children took part in a number of events to commemorate Armistice Day.

As part of Remembrance day, our pupils learnt about why poppies are an important symbol of the commemorations.  In PSHE, the children read "Where the Poppies Now Grow" to learn about how they were the first plants to regrow on the battlefields. They also took part in an assembly about Remembrance Day and on Tuesday observed a two-minute silence at 11:00 am on the 11th Day of the 11th Month as a mark of respect for all the service representatives who have given their lives in conflict.
