Happy New Year and welcome back to all of our Year 4 families. It has been wonderful to hear the children sharing their stories about a fun-filled Christmas break. As the Year 4 teaching team, we have been extremely impressed with how quickly the children have settled back into their learning and the enthusiasm they have shown since returning to school.

Today, Year 4 had a fantastic visit from Claire and Louise from Santander, who came to teach us all about making sensible choices with our money and how to keep it safe.
This half-term, Year 4 are completing a computing unit called Scratch.
Scratch is a block-based visual programming language and is aimed primarily at children as an educational tool, with a target audience of ages 5 to 16. Users can create projects using a block-like interface.
On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of celebrating the achievements of our Year 3 and Year 4 children.
On Monday, our Year 4 children helped kick off Anti-Bullying Week in true Loughton style by proudly wearing their odd socks!
