    Year 5 students recently enjoyed an unforgettable visit from local firefighters, turning their Fridays into days of discovery and excitement. On Friday, February 9th, students in HB12 and HB11 welcomed the firefighters, while HB10 and HB9 had their turn on Friday, February 16th. These visits offered a unique, hands-on opportunity for children to learn about fire safety and the important work of our community heroes.

    On Monday and Thursday of last week, Year 5 classes HB11, HB12, HB9, and HB10 embarked on an educational excursion to the Space Centre in Leicester. The children experienced an exhilarating coach ride, filled with anticipation for the day ahead. Upon arrival, they were greeted by a plethora of exciting and interactive exhibitions that captured their imaginations.

    Throughout the visit, students had the opportunity to observe numerous objects that have been retrieved from space, including a remarkable piece of moon rock. This tangible connection to space exploration profoundly engaged the children, fostering a deeper understanding of the universe. The trip was met with enthusiasm, and the feedback from the students indicates that they had a fantastic time, enriching their knowledge and sparking curiosity about space science.
