Exploring the Circulatory System

From models to real-life examples: Year 5 dive into the circulatory system

Year 5 kicked off their new science topic, Animals Including Humans, by exploring the circulatory system. They created a model of blood using food items to represent its four main components and learnt about their functions. The class then worked together outdoors to build a large-scale model of the double circulatory system, bringing their learning to life. To deepen their understanding further, pupils also observed the structure of pig and lamb hearts, identifying key features and discussing how they function.
