As part of our history lessons over the past week, the children discovered who the main players were on the World stage before and during the 1939-45 conflict which turned the country upside down. The children used the knowledge they had built up over their lessons to produce neat, informative posters in their theme books which have been displayed in our classrooms. 

Our assembly this week was about democracy and the plans for 16 year-olds to be given the vote. We will be using our PSHE lessons this year to provide a forum for discussion so that the year six children are aware of their responsibilities and are beginning to understand what it means to vote.
