In Guided Reading this week, Year 6 have been reading Wall by Tom Clohosy-Cole - a story set during the time of the Berlin Wall. The book has helped us learn more about this period of history and how the Wall affected people’s lives.

We spent time discussing the key themes and summarised the story using just one word – a great way to think carefully about its message. To finish, we created our own “graffiti wall” with words and images inspired by the book.

It’s been a thoughtful and interesting topic that has linked reading and history in a meaningful way.
