Bletchley Park Trip

Wednesday 22nd October, the year 6 children visited Bletchley Park.

The year 6 children visited Bletchley Park and had the opportunity to visit and explore a range of elements that highlighted the significance of the codebreakers during WW2.

Before the children began their trip, they followed an example "evacuation" whereby they walked to the Milton Keynes train station with their teachers. Once they arrived at the train station, they were loaded onto the train where they embarked on their evacuation journey to Bletchley train station.

When the children arrived at Bletchley Park, they were introduced to a range of staff members who were insightful and engaging throughout the day. There were opportunities for the children to explore different aspects of the park as well as attend two different workshops - a guided tour which provided the children with the experience of being a worker at Bletchley park as well as a codes and ciphers workshop where the children had to work hard to crack the different codes to discover what the "Spy" was trying to find out.

All of the children had a fantastic day and were incredibly well behaved. Make sure you ask your children about some of the fantastic facts they gained throughout their day!
