In History, Year 6 have been learning about the Battle of Britain and the different aircraft used during this important part of WWII. We explored key planes such as the Hawker Hurricane, Spitfire, and Junkers bombers and the children really enjoyed spotting features like the number of guns, crew size, and the length of each aircraft.

We also looked at the RAF tactics that helped Britain win the battle, including how radar and clever formations were used to defend the skies.

The children have also enjoyed making spitfires in art and making connections between their learning.
