Habitats and Adaption

Year 4 have been learning about how animals are adapted to live in their habitats and how the change in environment effects them through survival of the fittest.  They created made up creatures which were adapted to the habitat they were given and took part in a bird beak investigation involving sweets.  Each child had a different type of beak to try and eat their sweets and the children found out that some birds survive and reproduce with certain food sources, and others starve and die.  This is survival of the fittest.
