On Thursday afternoon, the school welcomed Nicky Smith-Dale to speak to the children about how to channel their imagination into being writers. She told us how amazing it feels to see her own creations turn into shiny eye-catching books and what a wonderful experience it is to walk into a bookshop and see your own books on the shelves. The children loved telling her what kind of books they enjoy reading and they also had the chance to see some of the props including the orb from her second book and mini Betty Steady in a cage. 

The children were excited to hear some of Nicky's ideas for choosing character names and came up with their own ideas including Ada Runny-Honey. We hope those children who ordered autographed books enjoy reading them and we'd love to receive any book reviews once you have finished them. Maybe your review will be published on our blog!
