This week in Maths, Year 4 have been learning all about measuring: we have learnt how to use scales, measuring cylinders, rulers and tape measures.  We have looked at units of measurement  and have also practised converting between centimetres, metres and kilometres, grams and kilograms as well as litres and millilitres.

Today, we have been very busy creating magic potions to help Harry Potter and his friends at Hogwarts!  We have measured the length of cobwebs and spider’s legs, the weight of mice toes nails, crushed skulls and dried ants and the capacity of rat’s blood and frog slime!  We have had great fun and can now measure really accurately.
