As part of our termly year 4 theme - Italy, the children were given the opportunity to learn how to make a pizza from scratch. This included the dough, the sauce and adding toppings. They learnt what ingredients made up each component and what equipment to use. They were able to knead their dough and learn about the gases within their dough. The chef spoke to them about the different components that make up a pizza and gave them great advice on how to successfully knead the dough (like professionals). The children were excited about taking their mini pizzas home to try (we hope they were yummy). The children will now be utilising this knowledge from the demonstration to make their own pizzas!
