We continued with our STEM week catapults this week. The children had time to test their mechanisms and reflect on how they could increase their catapult’s accuracy and distance. Each class had a competition with the best two catapults, from both categories, entering into the year group competition. We were blown away by the effectiveness of their catapults, with some of the catapults reaching 3m, 4m, 5m with one marshmallow reaching over 6 metres! The children inspired us with their sportsmanship - they celebrated each other’s success.

The year group competition was very exciting and the finalists competed excellently (the winners will be announced in assembly next week.) All the children were so proud of their catapults and their achievements. We hope that this week has inspired the children. We have seen excellent collaborative learning and individual creativity.
