Book Box Project
Last half term, we asked our year six pupils to inspire us with their reading choices. They rose to the challenge and we were amazed by their enthusiasm for the books they had read and also their inspiration and creativity – you can see some of the results in the photos (click here to view them).
Each child was asked to transform an old shoe box into a presentation of their favourite book and write a book review. David Walliams and Tom Gates, Harry Potter and Jacqueline Wilson were all well represented but also new books too. Lara (HB16) gave an enthusiastic talk about “The Last Wild” by Piers Torday. She had been given an opportunity to borrow the book, which has recently been acquired by the school library, and loved it so much.
All the year six teachers were hugely impressed by the amount of thought, time and effort which went into these projects. Well done everyone.
