I joined Loughton School as a co-opted governor in October 2022, having lived locally in MK since 1980.
My background is mainly financial within the Private Healthcare and NHS sectors. I have also been the Treasurer and Standard Bearer of the Royal British Legion Women's Section (Bletchley) until 2016.
I retired from work in 2019 and planned to spend a quiet retirement by helping family and gardening etc., but after a short time I decided to return to work at a local school. I also decided to become a governor so that I could assist and bring my experiences to help the Board in contributing to the School's aims and values and help the pupils achieve their best.
