PSHE enrichment: Supporting St Mark’s Meals

As part of our PSHE enrichment this term, eight children from Years 4 and 5 had the wonderful opportunity to visit St Mark’s Meals who are a local charity that provides meal boxes for families who may need a little extra support. During the visit, the children learned about the charity’s mission and the important role it plays within our community.

They worked brilliantly as a team and managed to pack an incredible 83 meal boxes in around an hour. The charity shared that this effort will help provide 332 plates of food- a fantastic achievement that the children were extremely proud of.

Our pupils represented the school beautifully, showing maturity, kindness and a genuine desire to make a difference. Many of them asked how we might continue to support our local community, and we look forward to exploring further opportunities with them.
