Loughton School Talent Show 2025 — What a Day to Remember!

Please enter an introduction for your news story here.
On Friday 27 March, Loughton School was filled with excitement, colour and an extraordinary amount of talent as our very first Talent Show took place. What an afternoon it was!
From the moment the performances began, it was clear that our children had been working tremendously hard, and the results were truly spectacular. Our audience of pupils were treated to an incredible showcase of skill, creativity and courage — and every single performer should be enormously proud of themselves.
The Magic Was Real
Our young magicians had the audience completely spellbound, pulling off tricks that left even the teachers scratching their heads. We are still not entirely sure how they did it — and we suspect that is exactly how they wanted it!
Stars of the Stage
The singing performances were simply outstanding. Our vocalists stepped up to the microphone with confidence and delivered performances that would not have looked out of place on a professional stage. The talent within this school never ceases to amaze us.
Rock On!
Our guitarists brought real energy to the room, playing with a skill and passion that had everyone nodding along. Whether it was strumming chords or picking out a melody, these young rock stars gave it absolutely everything they had.
Born to Dance
The dance performances were a real highlight, bursting with energy, rhythm and personality. From carefully choreographed routines to freestyle flair, our dancers lit up the room from start to finish.
Making Beautiful Music
Our violinist demonstrated just how much dedication and practice goes into mastering an instrument. The performance was elegant, polished and deeply impressive — a wonderful reminder of the musical talent we have within our school community.
Mind-Blowing Skills
Some of our children chose to showcase talents that left the audience genuinely open-mouthed. Our jugglers kept multiple balls in the air with impressive focus and coordination, whilst one remarkable pupil solved a Rubik's Cube in just a matter of minutes — right there on stage, in front of everybody. The cheers when that final twist clicked into place were amongst the loudest of the day!
A Day That Meant So Much More
Beyond the performances themselves, what made this event truly special was the spirit in which it was delivered. Children from across all year groups cheered one another on with warmth and generosity. Friendships were strengthened, confidence was built, and the Loughton School community felt closer than ever.
This Talent Show was created to celebrate every child's individuality, and it did exactly that. Each performer — whether they sang, danced, played, juggled, conjured or solved — showed tremendous bravery in standing up and sharing something they love with their peers.
We could not be more proud of every single one of them.
A huge thank you to Miss Hawkes, Miss Allen, Mrs Garner, Miss Daniels and all the staff involved in organising and running the event, and of course to our wonderful parents and carers for your support in helping the children prepare.
We hope this is the first of many Talent Shows to come to Loughton School. Watch this space!
