100 acts of kindness to celebrate 100 years

Please continue reading to watch our acts of kindness video. Well done children of Loughton School.

Following the very sad news of the recent passing of Captain Sir Tom Moore, we encouraged our Loughton School family to complete a small act of kindness, whatever that may be. We hoped to hear about 100 acts of kindness in celebration of Captain Sir Tom’s 100 years.

In April 2020, during the first national coronavirus lockdown, Captain Sir Tom set himself a small challenge to raise £1,000 for NHS charities by walking 100 laps of his garden before his 100th birthday. Whilst undertaking this challenge, Captain Sir Tom had said, “One small soul like me won’t make much difference”. In the end, he raised £33 million for NHS charities and became famous all around the world!
