Grand opening of our new school library

We took the opportunity during the last academic year throughout the library's long closure (due to Covid-19) to renovate this space making it colourful, inviting and comfortable in order for our children to enjoy using the space each week in their library sessions and to promote a snuggly space to read for pleasure.

Although the children did begin to borrow books again this year, the library quickly needed to be closed again due to a rise in Covid cases. This week, our chair of governors, Sandy Blackledge came in to declare it's official opening and, in festive style, cut the tinsel!

The library will be open once more in January to all!

We wish to extend a huge thank you to the previous members of the PTSA who were the driving force for raising so much money allowing this renovation to happen. They are: Emma Allen, Elise Carron, Alison Farrar-Wood, Shelley Gilbert, and Nikki Haughian.

We also wish to thank Mr Cox for making our fabulous colourful bookshelves.
