Millenium Meadow Work

Outdoor Learning Club

On Tuesday 30th April, at Outdoor Learning Club, 10 children, Mrs Gill and Mrs Solloway, met 2 representatives from SERCO – Shane and Chris – who had brought orange buckets filled with seeds, sand and soil so that we could sow the Millenium meadow which is situated opposite the school. “There were four sections altogether,” said Harinee, Lucas C and Evie, “so we split up into groups of 3, took a bucket each and we dispersed the seeds evenly. The mixture contains 30 different types of wildflower and we can’t wait to go and see the meadow when it is in full flower later this term.”

Thank you to the Parish Council and SERCO for inviting us.
