Classification and Glockenspiel Fun in Class!

It's been great to see the children enjoying some practical fun this week in their science and music. lessons.

This week, year 6 have been learning about classification and how we can use a classification key to decide a type of species or plant. The children were shown how to create a classification key and then given some liquorice allsorts to create their own in a small group. As you can imagine, the use of sweets were very exciting and then children were fully engaged in this fun activity. Afterwards, washing their sticky hands was a must!

Another activity that the year 6’s have participated in this week, has been the use of the glockenspiels! The children have been entertaining each other with their own playing of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star while learning the various musical notes.
