Hot School Dinners
We are very excited to be working in partnership with Hobbs School Catering to build a brand new kitchen, which will be open in September 2023. Hobbs School Catering will be providing freshly cooked meals on site for the children. Fresh bread, salad and fruit will be available daily as well as a home-made dessert. For more information about Hobbs School Catering, please see their website here: https://www.hobbsschoolcatering.co.uk/ We have simplified our system so all you need to do is top up your child's account on ParentMail and your child can then choose their own lunch on the day. Please take a look at the menu attached, showing meals available for the autumn term.
Provision is also made for children to bring a packed lunch. Please ensure that your child’s lunchbox is clearly named. For safety reasons, children are not allowed glass bottles in school. We would strongly advise and be grateful, if your child did not bring in sweets, fizzy drinks or any products containing nuts for lunch. Parents should not provide their own hot meals for children as we have no way of serving them.
Children are provided with a free school meal if their family is receiving appropriate benefit. If you believe that you qualify for Free School Meals, you will need to register your child/ren using the online application form*. If your application is successful, your child will be eligible for Free School Meals and Pupil Premium support which will remain in place until they reach the end of Year 6.
* You can register by using the link: https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/sims
If you are unsure about eligibility, or have any further enquiries about school meals, please contact Mrs Shelley Mahoney, Pupil Administration Manager on 01908 035670 or email: Mahoneys@loughton.school
Children are allowed to bring in a healthy fruit or vegetable snack at morning playtime.
