This week Year 5...
Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic overnight residential visit to the Chellington Centre in Bedfordshire. The trip provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to develop their teamwork, independence and outdoor learning skills while having lots of fun.
During their stay, the children took part in a range of exciting activities, including orienteering challenges, a visit to the local country park and a treasure hunt. They also learnt about maps and coordinates, putting their new skills into practice through a variety of practical tasks.
One of the highlights of the visit was preparing and cooking their own evening meal. Working together in small groups, the children made pasta with homemade sauce, garlic flatbread and salad, before enjoying a delicious Rice Krispie treat for dessert. Some children even volunteered to help with the washing up and cleaning afterwards!
The children were a credit to the school throughout the visit. Their excellent behaviour, enthusiasm and willingness to try new experiences made the trip a great success. They thoroughly enjoyed their time away and returned with many happy memories to share.
Well done, Year 5!
