Last week, our beautiful butterflies were released onto the field.  The warm weather had kick-started their metabolism and after some sugared water, they were ready to go it alone and make a flight to freedom.  We have loved observing them carefully through the different stages of their life cycles:  from tiny caterpillars, through to the chrysalis stage and then finally, onto fully fledged butterflies.  We hope that they will be very happy flying amongst the trees and plants of our field.
