Battle of the Bands: Year 4 Take on the Times Tables Challenge

Year 4 have been putting their multiplication skills to the test this week by taking part in a practice Times Tables Check. At the end of Year 4, all pupils across the country will complete the official Multiplication Tables Check, and we have been helping our children prepare by giving them opportunities to practise regularly using Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS).

As part of their weekly homework, children are encouraged to take part in the Battle of the Bands on Time Table Rock Stars. Regular practice helps to improve the speed and accuracy of multiplication recall, while also building confidence ahead of the official check.

We recommend that all pupils spend at least 10 minutes each day practising their timetables. Short, frequent practice sessions help to keep knowledge fresh and support the quick recall of multiplication facts. Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) provides a fun and engaging way for children to practise both multiplication and division facts, strengthening their understanding and fluency.

Keep up the fantastic work, Year 4! We are very proud of your effort and determination.
